Profile

Rhys read law at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. Upon graduating, he attended at the College of Law, Christleton, Chester to complete the professional education course. He was articled at T. R. Evans Hughes & Co, Holyhead before being admitted as a Solicitor to the Roll of Solicitors in April 1983. He has remained with T. R. Evans Hughes & Co as an Associate Solicitor, later a Partner and now a Director.

Rhys is fully bilingual in Welsh and English. He is a former Secretary to the Gwynedd Law Society. He has, since September 2009, been an accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Accreditation Scheme. He is a former member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and Crime Duty Solicitor. In his spare time, Rhys is a keen guitarist in all styles and a collector of musical instruments.
